Amazon will make Buy with Prime widely available to merchants based in the United States by January 31.
It also is introducing Reviews from Amazon, a new capability to help Buy with Prime merchants increase shopper trust and conversion, and better inform purchase decisions on their online stores.
Until now, Amazon offered Buy with Prime to merchants by invitation only, the company noted.
Buy with Prime addresses two pain points suffered by D2C consumers, driving traffic and converting shoppers. Amazon maintained its data demonstrates that Buy with Prime, in its limited expansion that began in April, increased conversion by an average of 25% based on the mean increase in shoppers who placed an order when they had Buy with Prime as an available purchase option versus when it was not.
With Reviews from Amazon, Buy with Prime merchants can display ratings and reviews from Amazon customers on their own online stores for no additional cost, the company stated. So, when an Amazon shopper leaves a rating and review for a brand’s product on Amazon.com, those opinions will appear on the product pages of online stores that enable Buy with Prime.
Amazon designed Buy with Prime to work with most online stores and e-commerce service providers such as BigCommerce. Amazon pointed out that BigCommerce will launch a Buy with Prime app in the first quarter of 2023. The app will allow merchants to quickly add Buy with Prime to their BigCommerce site with no coding required.
