Ace Hardware has opened a new retail support center in Kansas City, MO, a central location positioned to allow the cooperative to better serve its independent retailer network in the United States.
The retail support center is situated along Interstate 29 and adjacent to Kansas City International Airport, offering immediate access to major highway and air freight networks. As it resides near the geographic center of the continental U.S., the facility enhances Ace’s ability to deliver products quickly and reliably to thousands of co-op members, according to Ace.
The Kansas City retail support center joins a network of more than a dozen Ace distribution centers across the country designed to support the Ace independent retail model.
“This new 1.5 million-square-foot facility in Kansas City is more than just a building, it’s a symbol of what hard work, purpose, and servant-hearted teamwork can accomplish,” said John Venhuizen, Ace president and CEO. “It exists for one reason only: to help our locally owned stores serve their neighbors with excellence that has made Ace famous.”
