Ace Hardware has debuted the Heartware Stories documentary series encapsulating a century of community support in celebration of the retailer’s 100th anniversary.
In another anniversary initiative, Ace noted it would hold what it has dubbed the 100th Anniversary Block Party. A nationwide celebration scheduled for Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at participating Ace stores nationwide, the event will offer exclusive deals, engaging demos and related attractions, the company maintained. Each Ace store will host a unique event developed to thank communities for their support over the past 100 years.
The Heartware Stories marketing campaign features a mini-documentary series highlighting 100 transformative human moments originating from Ace employees across the entirety of the United States.
Consumers can already find the 100 stories at www.acehardware.com/heartwarestories. They can watch for free on the Ace website, and they can purchase featured episodes on Apple TV, Google Play, and Amazon Prime starting July 5. Roku users can view a limited Heartware Stories series in the fall of 2024.
Through Heartware Stories, Ace has highlighted acts of compassion, from delivering teddy bears to children’s hospitals to assisting natural disaster victims to a mother’s transformation of her personal tragedy into community education on accidental overdoses. Each story illustrates Ace’s commitment to fostering neighborly bonds, acting as a catalyst for widespread kindness and delivering on the promise Ace makes as The Helpful Place, the company stated.
“At Ace, we believe everyone has a story that could inspire others to foster a more supportive and caring world,” said Kim Lefko, Ace chief marketing officer. “Heartware Stories isn’t just about sharing stories; it’s about showcasing the deep ability of the human spirit to face challenges with kindness, compassion and empathy. Our hope is that these stories prove that wherever you go, there’s a place where people help because it’s the right thing to do. With our Heartware Stories, we aim to put good news into the world and show that neighbors still help neighbors.”
