Beyond announced that Allison Abraham is leaving her co-chair position as it continues making changes in its executive suite and board.
Co-chair Marcus Lemonis will transition to the role of board chairman, the company noted.
Beyond asserted that Abraham’s resignation was for personal reasons and not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the company or the company’s board of directors on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies, or practices. It added that the company intends to fill Abraham’s vacant board seat in the near term when it finds a suitable candidate. Abraham’s exit does, however, follow the ousting of Jonathan Johnson, former CEO of Beyond and, as predecessor company, Overstock, that came in the context of a dispute between the company and hedge fund investor JAT.
