Ulike, a pioneer in IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal devices for home use, is entering the U.S. brick-and-mortar retail market with the launch in Best Buy stores nationwide to go with and on BestBuy.com.
Ulike launched in 2014 to market a line of hair removers with IPL technology, which uses light to target melanin (pigment) in the hair to disrupt the growth cycle and prevent hair regrowth without damaging the skin. Ulike hair removers have won numerous beauty awards and are supported by 300 global patents, according to the company. The brand also delivers IPL education with the help of board-certified dermatologists and industry experts to ensure the effectiveness and safety of its FDA-approved products, Ulike added.
“This expansion into Best Buy comes at a pivotal moment for our company and positions Ulike for exponential growth in the United States,” said Leona Liu, Ulike’s U.S. general manager. “Entering Best Buy allows us to connect with the IPL-curious consumer in person, allowing them to touch, feel and experience our products prior to purchase.
Best Buy has begun selling Ulike Air 3 and Ulike Air 10 models in stores and online, retailing for $329 and $399, respectively. The Ulike Air 3 Hair Removal Device pinpoints hair at the root, leading to visible results in just two weeks with 93% hair reduction in four weeks, according to Ulike. The Ulike Air 10, optimized for stubborn, thick hair, is the only product in its class, according to the company, to combine SHR (super hair removal) mode, dual bulbs, and “SkinSensor” safety technology in one device, offering visible results in just two weeks. Both devices provide nearly painless hair removal with the help of Ulike’s patented sapphire ice-cooling technology, the company noted.
To celebrate the U.S. Ulike launch, My Best Buy loyalty members will receive $90 off the purchase of the Ulike Air 3 White model, plus an additional $20 Best Buy gift card from June 10 to July 10.
