Trudeau is returning to The Inspired Home Show for 2025, and Chris Mangan, the company’s vice president of sales, said the company is ready to capitalize on the event’s dynamic atmosphere.
“After a few years away, after the pandemic, we felt a renewed desire to really connect with that housewares community that’s been the heart of Trudeau since 1889. We walked the show floor last year and just felt the energy that comes from people gathering,”
“The innovations, the passions and the commitment to it, being part of the community,” Mangan said. “As we look at our launches for 2025, such as Resistall ceramic bakeware, we knew that The Inspired Show was the perfect stage to showcase these innovations and, more importantly, to share our vision and direction as a company and our products with the community of housewares, with brokers, retailers. The return to the show reflects more than just product launches; it highlights our commitment to growth, innovation, and quality, which has been a part of our journey here at Trudeau for 135 years.”
Mangan said Trudeau wants to showcase innovation by demonstrating new products so show attendees can see the quality and care given to design to make the products beautiful and functional at the same time.
“We’re looking at being attentive partners, we’re looking to listen closely, offer solutions,” Mangan said. “This is a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment in the retail landscape and particularly in home. The Inspired Home Show allows us to have short engagement time with a lot of different people that are not only from your top-end big box retailers, but down to the store owners who own one shop. I love the fact that we can talk to all of them. We want to focus on consumer trends and, then, how do we solve for their needs? I think we have products that are high quality, resonate with the consumer, can be sold across multiple channels of business and drive success for gourmet as well as mass-merchant retailers. I think we have opportunities in multiple spaces, and that’s what makes this show, to me, so much fun.”
Engaging Consumers
The housewares industry is at an important crossroads as Gen Z emerges as key housewares and home furnishings purchasers. As such, Trudeau is considering how to address younger consumers by considering what’s especially important to them, such as healthy living. The company’s Resistall ceramic metal bakeware is a product developed with younger consumers in mind.
“It’s PFOA-free with outstanding nonstick performance, designed for healthier baking,” Mangan said.
Trudeau is also introducing Clever by Nature tools and gadgets. Trudeau is “using wheat straw for this that helps to reduce plastics in the environment,” Mangan said. “We’ve seen companies try to do this before. What separates us is that we have a multi-function design, and the biggest thing, we’re at value-driven pricing. We’re pricing these items (to retail) at $6.99 so it makes sustainable choices available to everybody.”
According to the company, Clever by Nature not only includes new products but also presents a new Trudeau color palette that refreshes classic colors. The line includes a turner spatula, a flexible spatula, a flexible jar spatula, a skimmer, a spoon, a pasta fork, a basting brush, a French whisk, a peeler, a foldable zester, a can opener, and a ladle. The line is set to become available in the United States and Canada in July.

In addition, the company is updating its seasoning collection and launching a product dubbed Stack. Stack is conceived to be sleek, slim, and stackable. As such, it’s suitable for small-space living and for consumers looking for fashion-forward design.
The Stack Modular Seasoning Collection can hold a wide range of flavor enhancers. The products are convenient for urban and other space-limited living environments. Consumers can also get them in a set with five small and five large jars and a storage rack. Stack products already available include a 2.4″ x 2″ jar, a 6″ x 9.7″ jar, a six-bottle rotating spice rack and a fixed, two-tier, 10-bottle spice rack. Available in July in the U.S. and Canada, additional Stack products will include a Maestro pepper mill and Maestro salt mill, both with bamboo lids; and a five-piece Seasoning Station Bamboo Tray. Coming in August are a 12-bottle spice rack and a 12-bottle daisy spice rack.

With Trudeau’s Resistall structured silicone bakeware line (pictured in use, top), the company has been preparing products that provide more alternatives to metal bakeware for consumers looking for strong performance.
Function and style are important, and Trudeau’s product creation is based on a foundation of quality and durability. “We call that more evergreen design,” Mangan said.
The Resistall product collection includes a 12″ x 7″ baking sheet, a 10″ x 15″ baking sheet, a 9″ x 13″ oblong pan, a 9″ x 5″ loaf pan, a 12 muffin pan, a 9-inch square pan and a 9-inch round pan. The new bakeware is also set to be available in the U.S. and Canada beginning in July.

He pointed out that Trudeau is focused on the consumer throughout the design process, from product development to marketing communications, including social media and e-commerce reviews.
“We’re thoughtful about how we develop products and our messaging,” Mangan said. “In the products we’re introducing for 2025 that we’re going to showcase at the show… we are working together hand in hand with packaging, messaging. All of that is being done at one time.”
“You have to have the full package on how you’re going to sell through no matter what the channel is, whether it’s omnichannel, bricks and mortar, you have to look at what success looks like across all channels,” Mangan concluded.
