Tormek, a manufacturer of edge-tool sharpening systems, has released the Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener in a new colorway: Carbon Black.
The new Carbon Black finish, unveiled recently at The Inspired Home Show, presents customers with another color option in addition to the original Zinc Gray, said Tormek.
Grounded in the Swedish tradition of innovation, functionality and quality, where Tormek is based, the company has been producing sharpening machines for professional trades for 50 years. Using this experience, Tormek developed the Tormek T-1 for the home chef based on the same method used in the knife sharpener for professional chefs.
It features a fine-grained diamond grinding wheel that sharpens the entire bevel of the knife, not just the outer edge. The adjustable angle guide was designed to ensure a precise and consistent edge on most types of kitchen knives. The separate composite honing wheel, with an integrated polishing agent, finishes the edge for razor sharpness.
With powder-coated, fully cast zinc housing and an oak handle, the Tormnek T-1 was made to present a sleek, subtly industrial design.
The Tormek T-1 in Carbon Black will be available for purchase in the U.S. at the end of April directly from Tormek’s webshop with an MSRP of $371.
