LifeStraw has upgraded its Home Glass Water Pitcher, which the company states is the only water filter pitcher that removes bacteria, parasites, lead, microplastics, PFAS and more than 30 contaminants.
Citing articles from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and The Guardian, respectively, LifeStraw states 94% of U.S. tap water is contaminated with microplastics and recently, microplastics were found in human blood which has concerned researchers. LifeStraw said it is offering a filtration solution to that problem.
The LifeStraw Home Glass Pitcher, according to the company, meets the highest EPA and NSF standards for filtration using dual filtration technology and a membrane microfilter of 0.2-micron pore size that is capable of removing microplastics, bacteria, parasites, lead, mercury, PFAS, chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, dirt, sand and cloudiness while retaining healthy minerals like magnesium and potassium. LifeStraw asserts the pitcher drastically improves taste and is a sustainable solution eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottled water.
The 7-cup LifeStraw Home Glass Pitcher is available now at lifestraw.com for $59.95.
