To further its long-time mission to reduce single-use plastic waste and prevent it from ending up in the ocean, SodaStream has launched its 2022 Earth Month Campaign with David Hasselhoff. The campaign will focus on saving the sea turtles while paying tribute to Hasselhoff’s role in Baywatch.
The campaign includes a short video of Hasselhoff reprising his role in Baywatch and running across the beach, SodaStream in hand, to stop a turtle from reaching a straw and plastic cup. Sodastream will also launch an AR experience including Hasselhoff later in April where people can save a virtual baby sea turtle and help it reach the ocean safely.
SodaStream has also partnered with SEE Turtles, a non-governmental organization that works to protect baby sea turtles across the globe. Through this, SodaStream commits to saving a baby sea turtle for every SodaStream sparkling water maker sold during the month of April by contributing proceeds from every sparkling water maker to SEE Turtles.
