Solo New York is making its way to Chicago with a pair of new backpacks, the Vortex and the District, as well as the Tidal Slim Brief to help keep everything together.

Visitors to The Inspired Home Show can view the Vortex Backpack (pictured above), which is lightweight and suitable for professional or leisure activities, Solo noted. The backpack is machine washable and made of material derived from recycled PET bottles. It comes in three colorways: gray/light blue, navy/yellow and black/red, and will retail for $49.99 on solo-ny.com. Additional features include a fully padded compartment that fits up to a 16-inch laptop, two side mesh pockets flanking multiple front quick access pockets and a padded exterior to protect contents.

District Backpack
For its part, the District Backpack’s design has the city commuter in mind. It incorporates security features such as an anti-drop front magnetic pocket, a fully padded 16-inch laptop compartment with lockable zippers, and an RFID data protection pocket. Additional features include eight exterior pockets for easy organization, two side zipper pockets, an interior organizer section and a checkpoint-friendly design for business travel. Also made with recycled materials, the District Backpack has a sanitizable surface for easy cleaning. The District Backpack rolls out at Best Buy and solo-ny.com in late summer, Solo indicated, and will retail for $99.99.
