Inspired by the popularity of mason jars, Prepara is introducing the Salad Pod, a product the company characterizes as a revolutionary new way to enjoy fresh, layered salads anywhere.
Salad Pod
The Salad Pod, although it had mason jar roots, offers advanced versatility and user-friendly features, Prepara asserted. Made from clear Tritan plastic, the Salad Pod is a lightweight, break-resistant and durable alternative to glass. It’s dishwasher-safe and stain- and odor-resistant.
Features include:
- Vertical layering to keep ingredients separate and maintain textures and flavors
- A leakproof dressing capsule in the form of a 2.5-ounce container that secures under the lid
- An ergonomic design and secure construction that lets consumers mix up their salads with a few shakes of the container
- An innovative front hatch that can transform the Salad Pod into a tabletop bowl
Versatile and compact, which makes it suitable for work, school or travel, the Salad Pod is freezer and microwave-safe, Prepara pointed out, making it useful beyond just salads. Consumers can use it to transport pasta, fruit and even leftovers, too.
The suggested retail price is $25, and it rolls out in the spring.
