Prepara, a designer and manufacturer of kitchen tools and gadgets, has moved to a larger corporate office in New Jersey and relocated from a Dallas-based 3PL to a company-managed distribution facility in Houston.
Michael Karyo, senior vice president of Prepara, said the moves were necessary to serve the company’s recent growth, led by the successful rollout of its taco prep and serve collection. He also cited the need to accommodate an expanding staff, including new senior accounting and brand management positions, at its new corporate offices in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
“Moreover, with the higher volume of orders and demand for more dropship and special programs, we felt it was the right time, in combination with our corporate parent, Jia Wei Lifestyle/FDG, to move to our own (distribution) facility,” Karyo said. “Our new Houston warehouse (pictured above) allows us to be far more flexible and efficient in processing and shipping orders, as well as supports our continued growth over the next five to 10 years.
