Polder has launched The Smart Probe, a detachable-probe instant-read digital cooking thermometer designed to get fast, accurate results in the grill or oven with easy clean-up afterward.
The company describes a common issue with probe thermometers: When users wash the probe under the sink faucet, the thermometer can get wet which can affect reading accuracy and functionality. Solving this issue, the probe on The Smart Probe thermometer can be removed after use and is dishwasher-safe. Additionally, if the probe fails for any reason, users can purchase a replacement probe rather than a new thermometer.

Additional Smart Probe features include 10 pre-programmed settings for meat and doneness based on USDA guidelines and an open setting for users who know what temperature they want to achieve, a torch light and backlit display and a 10″ long probe that rotates 180 degrees to allow reading from all angles.
