Pentair Rocean has released The Reservoir, a countertop water filtration system with design and sustainability in mind.
The Reservoir was made to offer an alternative to single-use bottled water. To operate, users fill The Reservoir with tap water, and the push of a button pumps the water through the compressed filter to reduce 76 contaminants, including heavy metals, VOCs, pesticides and microbial cysts. The filtration system works on-demand which means there is no need to wait for gravity to filter the water.
The water filtration system is made from 40% recycled PET plastic housing and a 100% BPA-free water tank that uses bio-based filters manufactured from coconut-shell-based activated carbon. The carbon filter filters up to 390 gallons of water, reducing the need for 2,953 single-use plastic water bottles, says the company.
The Pentair Rocean Reservoir is available now for $249.
