Known for making pocket knives and kitchen tools since 1890, Opinel has launched its first flatware line, Perpetue.
Perpetue is a four-piece set of stainless steel, dishwasher-safe table utensils. Designed and envisioned as a modern, everyday heirloom, the collection was made to transition from casual meals to more elaborate holiday celebrations, says the company. The knife has a micro-serrated blade and a curved handle.
“We are excited to bring the Perpetue collection into the U.S.,” said Opinel USA brand manager Alex Delecroix. “This is the first time Opinel has produced a spoon and fork, and we think the market is ready to see that Opinel is more than just pocket and kitchen knives.”
The 16-piece set includes four knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons and retails for $196.
