Meyer Corporation has added of two new specialty items to its KitchenAid Enameled Cast Iron cookware collection: a 2.5-Qt. Oval au Gratin and 11-inch Square Grill Pan.
KitchenAid Enameled Cast Iron was designed to offer superior heat distribution and retention, durability and versatile use along with a bonded enamel finish the company asserts is two times more chip-resistant than leading cast iron competitors, according to Meyer. The Oval au Gratin and Square Grill Pan are non-reactive with acidic foods and feature a black enamel interior finish with a soft-toned satin exterior finish. Both items are compatible with all cooktops, including induction, and are oven and broiler safe up to 500°F.
The oven-to-table Oval au Gratin has two side handles made for sturdy lifting and carrying, and it can be used for au gratin potatoes and seasonal fruit cobblers among other things.
The Grill Pan has raised edges designed to deliver airflow for deep, even sears and browning while drip-free pouring spouts on each side make it easy for left-handed and right-handed cooks to pour out liquids without any mess, according to Meyer. Two small side handles allow the pan to transition from stovetop to oven or broiler.
The suggested retail price for the KitchenAid 2.5-Qt. Oval au Gratin is $99.99, while the 11-inch Grill Pan is priced to retail at $119.99. The products are available in Blue Velvet and Pistachio colors.
