Lumie, a British light therapy brand, has introduced the Halo multifunctional light therapy lamp in the U.S. The lamp is designed to enhance mood, energy and alertness during the day while promoting relaxation in the evening by mimicking the effects of daylight.
Sunlight is a natural mood booster, influencing melatonin and serotonin levels and prompting you to feel more awake, said the company. The Lumie Halo helps users to bring the sunlight indoors, made to be a solution for combatting the winter blues and regulating sleep and wake cycles.
In Day Mode, Halo boosts moods and energy and provides aesthetic lighting to improve the visual appearance of video calls, said Lumie. In Evening Mode (pictured above), Halo uses reduced blue light to create a serene environment with amber sunset hues allowing the user to relax and unwind.
“Seeking to develop an innovative, paradigm-shifting and multifunctional light therapy device, our Cambridge-based team of experts created Halo, Lumie’s most versatile bright light therapy lamp to date,” said Jonathan Cridland, CEO of Lumie, “Halo’s very powerful and bright LEDs help spark productivity and positivity, while users can choose to switch to a warm, reduced-blue light spectrum that’s also perfect to use closer to bedtime. Halo’s adaptability is inspired by what has been so important to us and our customers over the past few years, namely an ability to transform rooms and environments to suit our needs AM to PM. The right type of lighting can support all aspects of your from-home lifestyle, and Halo is here to do just that. It truly delivers our brand promise of a ‘Life Made Bright’.”
