Le Creuset is honoring its 100th anniversary with two celebrations: a limited-edition color based on the brand’s classic Flame color and a coffee table book created in collaboration with book publisher and luxury lifestyle brand Assouline.
The special-edition collection in new color Flamme Dorée (pictured above), French for “golden flame,” reimagines Le Creuset classic Flame shade of orange and features a third layer of enamel coating, enhanced with light-catching minerals for a golden shimmer, according to the company.
“Flamme Dorée embodies the bold innovation and timeless craftsmanship that define Le Creuset,” said Paul van Zuydam, owner and chairman of Le Creuset. “By combining these luminous minerals with layers of our original signature color, we are celebrating our heritage and our forward-thinking approach to design, just as our original Flame cookware revolutionized kitchens a century ago.”
The Flamee Dorée collection is available for purchase starting April 8 online and in stores at Le Creuset and select retailers.
The collection includes:
- Signature Braiser, available in 3.5 nd 5 quarts.
- Signature Oval Dutch Oven, available in 6.75 and 15.5 quarts.
- Signature Round Dutch Oven, available in 4.5, 5.5 and 7.25 quarts.
- Signature Saucepan, available in 2.25 quarts.
To further commemorate the memories made using Le Creuset cookware during the past 100 years, the brand has partnered with Assouline to create “Le Creuset: A Century of Colorful Cookware,” a special-edition coffee table book that tells the story of the brand’s history.
“This book is an invitation to gather, to celebrate the generations of meals and traditions made possible by Le Creuset. It’s a tribute to our past and a glimpse into the bright, colorful future ahead,” said Christopher Scinto, senior vice president, sales and marketing at Le Creuset of America. “Partnering with Assouline has been an incredible journey as both brands are deeply rooted in French heritage and have a passion for vibrant, timeless design. This collaboration celebrates not only a rich history of craftsmanship and creativity, but also the ongoing impact both brands continue to have on a global scale, inspiring tastemakers worldwide.”
“Le Creuset: A Century of Colorful Cookware” is available for purchase (MSRP $195) online at LeCreuset.com and Assouline.com or in person or at select retailers such as Le Creuset, Assouline, Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel starting April 10.
