Lasko has rolled out a new commercial-grade air mover exclusively at Costco, emphasizing the unit’s hurricane preparedness utility in advance of the 2024 Atlantic Ocean hurricane season.
The Lasko Super Fan Max Multi-Purpose Compact Air Mover is specifically designed to deliver powerful air circulation and ventilation that can be helpful during and after a hurricane, according to the company. Lasko cited a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecast for an above-normal Atlantic hurricane season of 12 to 24 named storms, including 8 to 13 hurricanes, of which four to seven could be major.
The Super Fan Max air mover is designed for efficient drying of areas impacted by water, thereby reducing the risk of mold and mildew, Lasko reported. The unit also cools and helps ventilate stuffy spaces, according to the company.
The compact, lightweight unit has a roto-molded impact-resistant casing for durability, a 10-inch cord for flexibility, rubber feet and an ergonomic handle.
The Super Fan Max offers three high-velocity speeds, a foldable stand that allows for a 20-degree angle pivot, four angles and three directional pivots, and two 115-volt outlets for accessories and multi-fan connections. The air mover includes a circuit breaker with a reset button to safeguard against electrical faults.
“Our goal at Lasko is to provide reliable, high-quality products that help our customers stay safe and comfortable, especially during extreme weather conditions,” said Gaurav Malik, Lasko’s commercial business unit director. “The Super Fan Max is an essential part of any hurricane preparedness plan, offering powerful performance in a compact and portable design.”
