Lékué is expanding its sustainable food storage solutions at the upcoming Inspired Home Show to be held in Chicago.
Lékué, recently acquired by Brabantia, will cast a spotlight on its pack of six Reusable Flexible Lids. The lids are designed to create a vacuum seal that allows consumers to preserve food in the refrigerator easily and hygienically, preventing contamination and prolonging freshness, said the company. Further, the lids are said to be useful covering leftovers in metal, plastic or glass, as well as for preserving fruit and vegetable halves. The vacuum seal is achieved by pressing down on the top and with its elasticity, it adjusts to containers of all shapes and sizes.
Lékué will also display its Reusable Silicone Boxes, said to be a reusable alternative to disposable plastic bags and single-use plastic containers and lids. The stackable boxes are modular to save space in the fridge or freezer. They come with built-in lids, which the company said makes them easier to store. Each box has a handle for easy holding, even when hot.
The containers have a window that allows consumers to note the contents. The boxes, suitable for defrosting and heating food in the microwave and oven, are made of platinum silicone and are BPA-free, according to the company.
