The owner of Escali measurement products has acquired kitchenware brands Joyce Chen and Old Stone Oven from Honey-Can-Do.
The Joyce Chen product line includes a range of woks, bamboo steamer baskets, kitchen shears and bamboo cutting boards. Author and TV personality Joyce Chen helped popularize Chinese cooking in American homes, designing, patenting and marketing a flat-bottom, handled wok she called the Peking Wok, along with other high-quality Chinese cooking utensils.
“We have great faith in the new owners and the potential for growth and success for the Joyce Chen brand. We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing the brands flourish,” said Steve Greenspon, CEO of Honey-Can-Do.
“We are thrilled to bring the Joyce Chen line into the fold,” added Kelly Walsh, vice president at Escali. “We aim to expand on the great work of Honey-Can-Do, building on the legacy of Joyce Chen and offering high-quality, authentic, and accessible Asian kitchenware to home cooks everywhere.”
Old Stone Oven is known for its selection of pizza stones and pizza-making tools.
“This acquisition will not only expand our consumer customer base but will also provide us with a greater range of products and services to offer retailers,” Walsh added. “Retailers will have the luxury of purchasing all four brands in one transaction, with the same level of customer service that they have come to expect from Escali and The London Sip.”
The Joyce Chen and Old Stone brands will be showcased alongside Escali and The London Sip at the Inspired Home Show in Chicago.
