Jura, a manufacturer and marketer of premium automatic coffee machines, recently broke ground on what is set to be a state-of-the-art service center for the U.S. market in Mount Joy, PA, in Lancaster County.
The new Jura Hospitality and Service Center, set to be completed in 2025, will replace the nearby facility from which the company currently services and refurbishes its automatic coffee machines.
Tom McMahon, president of Jura Inc., the company’s Montvale, NJ-based U.S. operation, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony about the brand’s commitment to premium quality, sustainability and outstanding customer service. He said the new service center will provide a “white glove” customer service experience with quick and efficient servicing of the machines. The new service center will also offer a drive-in 24/7 station allowing local customers to drop off and pick up machines at their convenience using an advanced kiosk system, McMahon said.
Emanuel Probst, CEO of Jura Switzerland, called the future service center a milestone in the company’s history that will be instrumental in the future growth of Jura in the United States. He noted Jura shipped its first 312 machines to U.S. retailers 25 years ago, and the company has since sold some 600,000 machines in the United States, Jura’s second largest market after Germany.
Probst recognized Manheim, PA-based Bates Enterprises, Jura’s longstanding service partner in the U.S., for its commitment to the brand’s high service, longevity and sustainability standards. Bates Enterprises will continue to manage day-to-day service operations when the new facility is opened.
The groundbreaking ceremony was also attended by Pennsylvania commonwealth officials Sen. Ryan Aument and State Rep. Mindy Fee, along with Niculin Jäger, ambassador, consul general of Switzerland in New York.
Building partners on the new Jura Hospitality and Service Center are Wohlsen, Core Design Group, Green Building Engineers and David Miller & Associates.
