Inspired Home Show Debuts Aim To Simplify, Beautify Kitchens

For consumers looking for a bit of help in the kitchen, companies at The Inspired Home Show unveiled products to make cooking and related tasks easier on the consumer. From getting ready to cooking to cleaning, many items specifically addressed the kitchen’s challenges.

Many of the kitchen products at the show also emphasize aesthetics, whether in form or through the use of color and finishes, to make kitchen work more pleasant.

To give consumers new chances to incorporate a well-regarded brand into their kitchen routines, Gibson Homewares announced it had licensed Calphalon bakeware, gadgets and kitchen tools. Newell Brands licensed the Calphalon brand to Gibson to enter segments beyond cookware and complement the Calphalon cookware line, which Newell continues to manufacture.

Cookware Updates

The Cuisine::pro iD3 Stainless Steel 9-piece Cookware Set (pictured above) was designed to deliver professional-level cooking performance and boost the prowess of the home chef. Crafted from durable 18/10 stainless steel, according to the company, items in the set have a robust 5-millimeter impact-bonded base that ensures even heat distribution and stylish but practical mirror-finish interiors. Lids are steel and tempered glass, while product exteriors have a satin finish and stay-cool cast stainless steel handles crafted with an ergonomic design and Cuisine::pro-exclusive MicroDotTechnology for comfort and precision. The set contains a 3.4-quart sauté pan with lid, a 10-inch frypan, a 3.8-quart saucepan with lid, an 8-inch frypan, a 5-quart Dutch oven with lid and an 8-inch universal steamer insert. 

Providing consumers with a new option, the Viking 4-Ply Copper Contemporary Cookware 9-piece Set is induction-compatible. Traditional copper cookware is generally not induction-compatible, but this set is, said Viking. The exterior copper layer provides superior temperature control, while the stainless steel bottom is induction-compatible and helps the pan heat evenly. The set includes a stock pot and Dutch oven, as well as sauté sauce and fry pans. The oven-safe designs and stay-cool handles make cooking a variety of meals simple and safe. 

For a lighter take on wrought iron cookware, Solidteknics has introduced AUS-ION patented Australian-made wrought iron cookware to the United States. All AUS-ION cookware is forged from a single sheet of iron, meaning that products in the lineup don’t need joints, screws or rivets. And it’s lighter and more durable than cast iron, Solidteknics asserted. AUS-ION cookware is pre-seasoned for consumer convenience.

Hell’s Kitchen has launched the PFAS-free Hybrid Cookware Line. The collection includes an 8-inch, 9.5-inch and 11-inch stainless-steel hybrid non-stick pan as well as a four-quart sauté pan, a 7.5-quart pot, a 2.5-quart saucepan and a 12-inch stir fry wok. The cookware line’s ceramic coating has non-stick properties that don’t require user pre-seasoning, although that remains optional. Each piece features a conductive aluminum core between two durable stainless-steel layers. The stainless-steel layers are laser etched, creating a raised steel grid above the fused ceramic coating, allowing non-stick valleys and a cooking surface that stands up to metal utensils. A heat-resistant bottom coating helps prevent staining, allowing the pots and pans to maintain their aesthetic quality.

For bakers who want a livelier experience, Nordic Ware had a colorful introduction for The Inspired Home Show. Brilliant Bakeware arrives as a colorful but functional lineup that also makes an aesthetic statement in the kitchen. Each piece is made with a non-PFAS interior non-stick coating sporting a silver coloration and providing easy release. Composed of aluminum, Brilliant Bakeware adds an encapsulated steel rim on most pans to prevent warping. The Made in the U.S.A. collection includes sheet pans in various sizes, square and round cake pans, and a 12-cup muffin tin. It also includes a 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan built to be a kitchen stalwart. Pans are oven-safe up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Handy Contraptions

Bringing in a more sophisticated design, LIfetime Brands reworked its KitchenAid Kitchen Tools & Gadgets Collection in a modern aesthetic with a formulation that deliberately balances form and function. The initiative covered the entire 25-plus-piece assortment and manifested in the turners’ precise angles, the deliberately selected designs and the materials used for each function. The collection comes in coordinating KitchenAid colors, including Agave, Cardamom, Mineral Water, Porcelain White and Black, so consumers put together cohesive looks. The collection incorporates food-safe fiberglass-reinforced nylon that has heat resistance up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as slim, ergonomic ABS hard handles, a fine textured grip and optimized weight distribution for better feel and control.

The Trudeau Clever by Nature tool and gadgets lineup has a wheat straw formulation that helps to reduce plastics in the environment, the company noted, in multi-functional design. In a critical turn, Trudeau developed the line with value-driven pricing in mind.

The Jokari Catch-All Peeler takes a step out of a food prep process that normally includes counter or cutting board cleanup. The product has a built-in see-through canister that collects peels during prepping, reducing kitchen mess. The peeler has three blade types: a straight edge, julienne and serrated, so it can take on most fruits and vegetables in the desired form. The rotating blades lock inward for secure use and storage.

Among Brabantia’s initiatives at The Inspired Home Show were a couple of products that make chopping less stressful. The Tasty+ Manual Food Chopper has three sharp stainless-steel blades that rotate when users pull a ring to cut through the toughest foods, the company indicated. Meanwhile, the Tasty+ Potato Cutter has blades for dicing and making wedges from potatoes and other foods.

Kuhn Rikon described the new Iced Knife Collection as an elevation of its product line. Made from high-quality German steel, each blade is ice-hardened for solidity, long life and an edge that stays sharp for longer. A titanium blade coating delivers an up-market appearance while ergonomic weighted handles fit comfortably in hands in a finely balanced weight distribution. To complement the knives, Kuhn Rikon developed a clear block for Iced Knife storage with sides made from sustainable bamboo, a see-through center and an open bottom.

Putting Things Right

Organizing prepares the kitchen for the many activities performed there and helps at the beginning and the end of any activity, including the clean-up. YouCopia debuted multiple products at The Inspired Home Show to help keep homes organized. One such product is the SinkSuite Trash Bag Dispenser, which conveniently houses a club-size or standard roll of 13-gallon garbage bags. A patent-pending cradle base and wide opening make bags easy to reach and a removable top tray makes refills quick. The unit is sufficiently sturdy so consumers can stack multiple dispensers as needed, and a non-slip base keeps the organizer where it’s supposed to be.

SealVax debuted a product line that keeps dry goods fresh and organized as part of its offering for The Inspired Home Show. SealVax’s VOYD Canisters are patent-pending vacuum containers that can effectively store any number of food and drink items, including coffee, chocolate and flour.

In another move to make kitchen tasks easier, Prepara has expanded its popular Latchlok Click food storage system, introducing four stylish new colors: Oat, Rose, Sage and Storm. Leakproof, durable and stylish, Latchlok Click products have a modern look and stackability to take up minimal space. Crafted from Tritan plastic, they give consumers a clear view as a means to keep track of food contained while also being lightweight, break-resistant and safe in microwaves, freezers and dishwashers.
