Last week, IHA reported that some 1,700 housewares companies are set to exhibit at The Inspired Home Show 2024, an increase compared to the Show’s 2023 exhibitor total. This year’s Show features more than 350 exhibitors that did not participate in the 2023 Show, including some 200 companies new to the Show this year and many companies returning to the Show after a brief absence, including Cuisinart, Fissler, Keurig, Tramontina and Zwilling, IHA reported.

In addition to announcing the wide-ranging group of major national and regional retailers registered for the 2024 Show, Miller, in his letter, said independent retailers from across the country and specialty store buying groups Gourmet Catalog and HTI Buying Group are registered to attend. He added that the Show has recorded buyer registrations from 117 countries.

Miller, in a recent interview with HomePage News, detailed key Show developments and initiatives for 2024, including a shift to a three-day event in two exhibit halls, McCormick Place South and North. In responding to exhibitor and attendee feedback asking for a more efficient and productive show experience, the 2024 Show presents more exhibitors and occupies more exhibit space than the 2023 Show in a streamlined layout and timeframe, Miller said.

Wayfair is among the retailers planning to send a large merchandising contingent to the 2024 Show.

Paige Kelly, Wayfair’s Head of Housewares & More, in a recent interview with HomePage News, said the Inspired Home Show “is a great opportunity for us to have another touchpoint with our suppliers, as we always find it beneficial to meet in person… We appreciate being able to see so many of our supplier partners at one time under the same roof… Our teams also find it to be a great opportunity to understand upcoming trends; product features and functionality; and to learn more about the brands in the market.”

Joe Derochowski, vice president and home industry advisor for market research and analytics company Circana, said several major retailers have indicated to him they are attending the forthcoming Inspired Home Show.

“In my position at Circana, I work with major retailers on a frequent basis and know there are many large retailers planning to attend the Show, enthusiastic about the opportunity to discover what’s new in the housewares marketplace,” Derochowski said. “This includes some big retailers I wouldn’t normally have expected at this Show or weren’t originally planning to attend this year who are looking for new opportunities and new relationships.”

Leadership of Beyond, the former Overstock.com business that acquired and relaunched Bed Bath & Beyond online last year, is hosting a cocktail reception for all exhibiting IHA members during the forthcoming Show, Sunday, March 17, 5- 6:30 p.m. in the lobby area of the S100 Grand Ballroom at McCormick South. Beyond Executive Chairman Marcus Lemonis and new Bed Bath & Beyond CEO Chandra Holt are set to provide an update on the company’s growth strategy in a keynote presentation on Tuesday, March 19, 10-11 a.m. in McCormick South S102.
