Housewares industry sales management veteran David Pearlman recently passed away unexpectedly. He was 59.
Pearlman spent more than 35 years in the housewares industry. After a short period as a housewares sales sub-representative, Pearlman founded his own sales agency, Pearlman Associates, near Boston in 1991. Pearlman Associates represents such companies as Nordic Ware, Jura, RSVP International, Joseph Joseph, Grant Howard and others in housewares, storage and organization, small electrics and bath categories. Eric Pearlman, David’s brother, joined Pearlman Associates as a partner in 1994.
“David was the consummate salesman,” Eric Pearlman said. “He forged long-lasting relationships with vendors and buyers alike. He was always ready with a joke or a fun story but was very focused when business was at hand. He was someone everyone wanted to be around and people sought him out constantly for advice and guidance.”
David Pearlman is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and sons, Jake and Alex, among several family members.
