Greentech Environmental introduced new technology in the air purification category at The Inspired Home Show as it launched the two-unit pureAir Active HEPA+ lineup featuring what the company calls ODOGard technology.
Proprietary ODOGard technology, Greentech maintained, works with True HEPA and advanced active air purification technologies. The new pureAir Active purifiers eliminate 99.98% of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 disease, the company noted, and they are effective against VOCs, odors, pollen, dust, pet dander and other pollutants.
The pureAir Active HEPA+ with ODOGard uses active and passive air purification, continuously removing airborne pollutants while reducing indoor odors, according to the company. The bipolar ionization and photocatalytic oxidation processes seek and destroy indoor pathogens, including on surfaces, Greentech stated.
In lab tests performed by MRI Global in Kansas City, the pureAir Active achieved a 99.98% reduction of SARS-CoV-2 from the air in just three minutes and 20 seconds, Greentech said. The new products have been field-tested in nursing home facilities and beauty salons by Advanced IAQ Solutions and continuously reduced volatile organic compounds and eliminated odors even in difficult spaces, Greentech added.
The pureAir Active HEPA+ with ODOGard line launches this month with products designated Room and Pro. The company designed the Room model for spaces up to 375 square feet at a suggested retail price of $649. Pro is designed to cover up to 750 square feet at a suggested retail price of $849. A new Greentech Connect app can control both devices remotely, and the units also have built-in controls that give air quality readings in real-time.
