Japanese cutlery brand Global Knives has launched its 40th Anniversary Collection to celebrate what the company described as a four-decade mission of premium design and craftsmanship.

Global Knives was founded in 1985 Mino Tsuchida (known as Mr. Global) behind a mission to bring high-performance, exceptionally sharp and ideally balanced Japanese stainless steel cutlery to professional and home chefs across the globe. Handcrafted at the Yoshikin factory in Niigata, Japan, Global knives are marketed to premium kitchenware retailers in the United States by Global Cutlery USA.

The limited-edition collection features:

  • 6-inch Kiritsuke: Global’s first Kiritsuke knife, made to blend traditional Japanese design and the brand’s signature style
  • 7-inch Asian Chef’s Knife: An Asian-inspired chef’s knife that offers balance and control for a wide range of kitchen tasks.
  • 3 Piece Knife Set: A curated selection of anniversary-edition essentials featuring the 6-inch Kiritsuke Utility Knife, 7-inch Asian Chef’s Knife and 4-inch Paring Knife.
  • Anniversary Block Set: The set features the 6-inch Kiritsuke Utility Knife, 7-inch Asian Chef’s Knife, 4-inch Paring Knife and the company’s best-selling 8.25-inch Kitchen Sheards, plus space for existing Global knives.
