Retailers from the United States, Argentina, Brazil, France and Taiwan were named 2022 Global Innovation Award (gia) honorees at the gia gala Saturday night.
Global gia honorees are The Butler’s Pantry, United States; Paul French Gallery, Argentina; Westwing Brasil, Brazil; La Maison Pernoise, France; and Hengstyle, Taiwan. The global gia honorees were selected by a jury of designers and media from the 33 national winners honored during the gala at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago.
The gia Martin M. Pegler Award for visual merchandising excellence went to India’s HomeTown by Praxis Home. Australia’s Make Designed Objects took the top Digital Commerce prize.
The gia program is sponsored and organized by The Inspired Home Show and the International Housewares Association (IHA).
The national winners are featured during The Inspired Home Show with banners and a special display in the Grand Concourse Walkway at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Since the launch of gia in 2000, the program has recognized nearly 500 retail award honorees from more than 50 countries on six continents.
