Lasko Products has launched a pair of Alexa-enabled home environment products: an oscillating tower fan and a True HEPA air purifier.
The “Works with Alexa” 48-inch tower fan and air purifier were developed using Amazon’s Alexa Connect Kit service and designed to simplify the product setup for consumers, according to Lasko. When a consumer owns an Alexa device and orders the Alexa-enabled Lasko products through an Amazon account, the product can automatically pair with Alexa speakers at home. Consumers can control the fan and air purifier with an Alexa device or by using the Alexa app.
Lasko CEO Ed Vlacich, said, “The two new Alexa-enabled products are packed with special features to maximize convenience, comfort, and the overall user experience – all easily activated through voice command, the Alexa app or directly on the front-facing product controls.”
The Alexa-enabled 48″ oscillating tower fan ($109.99 suggested retail) features an 8-hour auto-off timer, four speeds, optional widespread oscillation for full-room coverage and Lasko’s safety fuse technology. A nighttime setting automatically decreases fan speed and dims control lights for overnight use.
Alexa-enabled True HEPA air purifier (pictured above; $139.99 suggested retail) features four speeds, an 8-hour auto-off timer and auto-check filter reminder light safety-fuse technology. The unit provides 99.97% particulate filtration for rooms up to 232 square feet, cleaning air in a 10-foot-by-10-foot office nearly 11 times per hour; and in a 15-foot-by-15-foot room five times per hour, according to Lasko. A “DreamMode” function uses ultra-low speed and dimmed display lights.
