Former Helen of Troy CEO Mininberg Joins iRobot Board

Robotic floor care appliance company iRobot, marketer of Roomba and Braava products, added former Helen of Troy CEO Julien Mininberg to its board of directors.

 

Mininberg (pictured above) retired earlier this year as CEO of Helen of Troy after ten years in the position.. Helen of Troy markets such housewares, wellness and beauty appliances and on-the-go outdoor products under such brands as Oxo, PUR, Honeywell, Vicks, Revlon, Braun, Hydro Flask and Osprey. Mininberg previously served as president and CEO of the humidifier company Kaz, which was later acquired by Helen of Troy. Prior to Kaz, he spent 15 years at Procter and Gamble in various general management and marketing roles.

“Julien’s breadth of experience in building market-leading global brands, strong base in go-to-market strategy, and experience guiding organizations through transformation and restructuring efforts will be great assets for iRobot as the company re-orients toward profitability and growth,” said Andrew Miller, chairman of the board at iRobot.

Mininberg said, “I am excited to leverage my past experiences and consumer-focused leadership style as the company sets itself up for its next chapter and pursues many of the opportunities for profitable growth that lie ahead.”

Mininberg’s appointment to the iRobot board follows the recent appointment of former Qaulitor Automotive and Timex chief Gary Cohen as iRobot’s new CEO. iRobot also announced that Mohamad Ali will be stepping down from the company’s board of directors effective immediately after having recently taken on a new leadership role at IBM.
