Beyond has established a new executive structure to support Bed Bath & Beyond operations as well as those of a revived Overstock, which will function alongside its retail sibling as a clearance/off-price operation.
In the new configuration, Marcus Lemonis has become the board of directors executive chairman. In addition, former Walmart and Target executive Chandra Holt has joined Beyond as CEO, Bed Bath & Beyond; Overstock veteran Dave Nielsen becomes Overstock CEO; and Adrianne Lee, Beyond CFO assumes an expanded role as chief financial and administrative officer.
Lemonis (pictured above left) has been a director of Beyond since October 2023 and board chairman since December 2023. As executive chairman, Lemonis will work with the management team to lead and execute Beyond’s strategic priorities, the company noted, including expanding customer offerings, driving operational excellence and enhancing shareholder value. He is also the chairman and CEO of Camping World Holdings, which focuses on recreational vehicles and outdoor products and services.
Holt (pictured above center) held various leadership roles at Walmart and Target before joining specialty retailer Conn’s HomePlus, which operates more than 180 stores across 15 states, as president and CEO in 2021.
Nielsen (pictured above right) joined Overstock in 2009 and has held executive positions, including president, since 2019, leading the company’s marketing, merchandising, supply chain, technology and digital product organizations. Most recently, he served as Beyond’s interim CEO and president, overseeing company operations and its Bed Bath & Beyond segment.
Lee has acted as CFO since 2020, with responsibilities including finance, legal, communications, investor relations and IT security functions.
The new leadership structure will lead the Beyond organization that emerged from the acquisition of Bed Bath & Beyond’s intellectual properties by Overstock.
